Wbta re-located to new premises on the 29th May 2009. The bulding was built in 1906 for the community police station and has changed ownership several times since.
The building has undergone extensive renovation work carried out by David Slee Ltd which is an established building and development company in business since 1983. The company has received the Neath Port Talbot County Bourugh Council 'Built in Quality' award and the Federation of Master Builders Quality Award for Wales.
During the renovation work many of the police stations original features were uncovered. David Slee carefully project managed the re-storation which included a brick archway running through the centre of the building and the cell bars which have now been converted into the ladies washroom - complete with bars.
All that is left is for the name 'Ty Cwmafan' to be added
