A Brief Outline...
NVQ's are most commonly delivered through work based learning as they are designed to be achieved alongside daily working activities.
Many of the programmes are funded through the Welsh Assembly Government and are, therefore, free. Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 are available through these programmes and each candidate is interviewed/assessed prior to commencing a training programme in order to determine the most suitable entry point. The programmes are: -
- Skill Build = NVQ Level 1 (age 16-17))
- Foundation Modern Apprenticeship = NVQ Level 2
- Modern Apprenticeship = NVQ Level 3
- Modern Skills Diploma = NVQ Level 4
